China Sanctions 28 Former Trump Administration Officials

 

Joe Biden a new president of the USA take an oath/ swearing and became the official president of the United States of America on 20, January 2021, China imposed sanctions on Trump administration officials minutes after Joe Biden was installed as the 46th president of the United States, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry. The Chinese Foreign Ministry passes the statement and banned the top-ranking 28 TRUMP administration officials. In the list of banned officials Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State also included.


Background:

 The Chinese Foreign Ministry banned the officials but it had background too. On 11 January 2021, the USA uplift the imposed restrictions over Taiwan. Before the USA had only economic relations with Taiwan not Diplomatic but Mike Pompeo announce that they are uplifting the sanctions over Taiwan and took new steps of friendship, which make China angry. On 20 January 2021, Mike also accuse China of the Genocide of Uighurs and minority groups in Xinjiang, this issue is the old one but the Trump administration rise this on the last day of their administration in the White House.   

Statement of Hua Chunying:

Before the swearing ceremony of Joe Biden, at the regular press briefing, China Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Hua Chunying claimed the Trump administration has made numerous “fundamental mistakes” during the past four years resulting in “serious damage” to bilateral ties. 


The Biden administration should instead, “look at China rationally and objectively, meet China halfway and, in the spirit of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit, push China-USA relations back to the right track of healthy and stable development as soon as possible,” said Hua.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry Statement

The Chinese government has announced sanctions against the outgoing secretary of state Mike Pompeo and 27 other high ranking officials under former USA President Donald Trump, accusing them of “prejudice and hatred against China.”

In a strongly-worded statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said the former Trump administration officials were “anti-China politicians” who had undermined the relationship between China and the USA.

Also said:

“they have planned, promoted, and executed a series of crazy moves that have gravely interfered in China's internal affairs, undermined China's interests, offended the Chinese people, and seriously disrupted China-U.S. relations.”

Why?

Many of the 28 outgoing and former officials sanctioned by Beijing was considered to be influential in helping to steer the Trump administration's more confrontational China policy, which saw clashes with Beijing on issues relating to trade, technology, regional security, and human rights.

 Sanctioned officials:

 Those listed include Peter Navarro, the Economic An advisor who Advocate for the Trumps trade war, as well as three former senior officials who expressed support for Taiwan over the past eight months: Health and Human Service Secretary Alex Azar; Keith Krach an undersecretary of state; and the ambassador to the United Nations Kelly Craft.

Sanctions:

 The ministry said sanctioned individuals and their immediate family members "are prohibited from entering mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau". He also said that they and entities associated with them were banned from doing business with China.

Chinese-U.S. relations deteriorated dramatically after Trump launched tariff wars against Beijing shortly after entering the White House.
